It has been a very long time since we’ve talked–well–actually I do the talking and I hope you will “listen.”
To be honest it has been almost eight years. I have written and lived a lot of chapters since then. Some of the events were good, some were bad, some were spectacular and some were god awful.
These events are chapters in my and my family’s lives. They will not be in chronological order, not will they be in order of importance. I am mixing importance and chronology
I will start simple.
Why have I included a picture of Sir Isaac Newton?
Well, I learned that there is such a thing as academic heredity. Instead who gave birth to someone, it is who birthed that person’s education. According to the research that his students made, my husband has an academic connection to or has heredity to Sir Isaac Newton. I don’t have the names, and you wouldn’t recognize them, but Newton taught someone and then he taught and then he taught, and so on and so forth, Nasr’s professor was taught by Charles Maynard (Nobel Prize winner) and has an academic history to Isaac Newton. Therefore and thusly, my husband’s education and success has been influenced by Sir Isaac Newton.
Newton studied things that went down, meaning gravity. My husband, Nasr, studies things that go up like rockets, meaning things that defy gravity.
We need to appreciate that the education given to one student has an effect that could possibly affect someone 12-14 generations later. In case you haven’t figured it out, my husband is brilliant, but we also need to give his parents and non academic ancestors some credit.
Teachers of all grades, I hope you realize that the education you received from your favorite teacher will most likely have an influence on students 360 years from now.
I wonder if Nasr’s students will continue on his trajectory, or will they be going down like Newton into the deep oceans.
